These products should also be avoided on permanent makeup or brow area after the procedure to prevent premature fading.

Eyebrow and eyelash growth serums should be discontinued 6 weeks prior to your appointment if receiving eyebrow or eyeliner services. eyebrow or eyeliner services.

Ignoring this will be grounds for your appointment to be rescheduled and the deposit forfeited. Those products should also be avoided on permanent makeup or brow area after the procedure to prevent premature fading.

2 weeks before the procedure

Botox and filler on the forehead, temple, and eye area should be avoided 2 weeks prior to the procedure.

Antibiotics, steroids, and other medications will greatly impact healed results. Clients are encouraged to avoid these 2 weeks prior to the appointment.

1 week before the procedure

Avoid sun and tanning one week prior to the procedure. Showing up to your appointment with visible recent sun damage will be grounds for your appointment to be forfeited.

Lash extensions must be removed if you are receiving eyeliner or lash enhancement procedures.

If receiving eyebrow services, your eyebrows must be groomed. However, no brow waxing, tinting, tweezing, or threading 72 hours prior.

If receiving permanent lip blushing or watercolor lip services, lips must be properly exfoliated, healthy and hydrated. If there's a history of cold sores you must contact your primary care physician to start a prescription of anti-viral medication. Failure to take the required medication will result in a breakout post-procedure that will greatly impact healed results and the possibility of future procedures.

48 hours before the procedure

Ask your physician if you can discontinue the use of ALL NSAIDs, Aspirin, Niacin, or Advil/Ibuprofen 48 hours before the procedure. Choosing to take medications such as these prior to your procedure will make your blood thin, which will cause bleeding during your procedure. Blood pushes the pigment out of place and results in poor pigment retention. Please note poor pigment retention will cause you to need additional touch-up appointments for which you will be billed for.

Discontinue the use of Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Prenatal Vitamins, Nutritional Shakes, and "Hair, Skin, Nail" supplements 48 hours prior to the procedure.

Blood pressure, thyroid, and other daily medications may strongly impact healed results.

24 hours before the appointment

Do not work out 24 hours before the procedure

NO alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before the procedure, please note that decaffeinated drinks sometimes have small amounts of caffeine which will affect your procedure. Ignoring this request will cause your blood to be thin and result in poor pigment retention, which means you will require more touch-up appointments that will be billed at an additional rate.

We require a bare face on the day of your appointment. Your face should be free of all makeup. Lash extensions must be removed if you are receiving eyeliner or lash enhancement procedures.

Please Note: Failing to follow instructions will greatly impact your procedure and can cause you to need additional appointments that will be billed to you

After Care Instructions

Eyebrow Aftercare

“Eyebrows speak louder than words”

Immediately after the procedure

Open the provided packet of damp cotton rounds and wipe the brow area once every 60 minutes for 6 hours. Allow brows to briefly dry and apply the aftercare ointment after wiping the brow area. After the 6 hours have passed, continue to observe the brow area, wipe and reapply aftercare ointment as needed. Oily and ethnic skin types will need to wipe throughout the entire day. Before bed wipe the brow area, allow the area to air dry, and reapply the aftercare ointment.  Remember: Following Day One aftercare is extremely important. It will help to remove the hardening lymphatic fluids that produce thick scabs. Thick scabs = poor pigment retention.

Until the end of day two

In the morning, during the day, and before bed wipe the brow area. Allow the area to air dry and reapply the aftercare ointment.

Days three through thirteen

Your brows have developed a protective film and it’s important to protect it. DO NOT GET YOUR BROWS WET. Apply a minimal amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area twice a day. Remember to never over-hydrate the brows by making them visibly shiny. Oily skin types may need to blot gently around the brow area with oil sheets during this time. Dry skin types may need to apply more ointment.

Day fourteen until the film has naturally exfoliated

Wash twice daily by patting a small amount of diluted gentle cleanser on the eyebrow area with your ring finger. Gently remove the soap with cool water and the pads of your fingers. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or exfoliants. Always allow brows to air dry before applying aftercare ointment. Continue to apply ointment until the last scabs have exfoliated.

Important note about face washing and showering

Limit your shower time limits so that you do not create too much steam. Keep your face/procedure area out of the water while you wash your body, then, at the end of your shower, wash your hair facing away from the water. Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area. Day 2-14 do not splash water on the face area when washing and keep products far away from the brow area. Face wash should be removed with a gentle facial cloth, but never touching the brow area.

Treating your new brows with extreme care is essential for the best-healed results. Following and being consistent with good aftercare will result in beautiful healed brows.

Avoid

-Touching, picking or scratching your brows as this could cause irritation, infection & loss of pigment.
-Exercise or sweat for at least 7 days after your treatment.
-Brow products, makeup, cleansers, lotions, etc. on or close to your brows for 2 weeks to avoid irritation & cross-contamination.
-Saunas, steam rooms, or swimming pools for 1 week due to sweating, risk of getting your brows wet & hygiene.
-Facials or other face beauty treatments are done for 4 weeks to avoid irritation & cross-contamination.
-Tanning beds, chemical peels, or any strong face treatment for 4 weeks as your skin will not be healed enough.
-Anti-aging creams, chemical peels, acids, or retinol on or close to your brows ever! These products will alter your skin and impact pigment retention.

Do

Follow the aftercare properly to allow your eyebrows to heal as well as they should. Keep your eyebrows as clean and dry, but moisturized, as you can for the first two weeks. Too much lymph fluid, water, sweat, and oil will result in scabs instead of a film. Scabs will result in poor pigment retention. Take ibuprofen if your eyebrows feel swollen

Lip Blushing Aftercare

“Good lips, good mood, good day”

Immediately after the procedure until the end of day two
With your lip blush complete we want to prevent a build-up of lymph fluid on your lips. Lymph build-up on the lips looks like little yellow/white bubbles. To prevent an overproduction of lymphatic fluid use a provided damp cotton round whenever you feel your lips need cleansing and then allow them to dry. Apply After Inked or Aquaphor throughout the day as often as needed.

Day three until the film has lifted
Your lips should have a thin film on top of them by now and will be feeling pretty tight and possibly sore (this won’t last long). The film indicates that the skin underneath is healing. At this point, you no longer need to clean your lips unless you want to give them a wipe after eating/drinking, but you will want to keep your lips moisturized with After Inked or Aquaphor throughout the day.

After the film has naturally exfoliated
Your lips may stay dry for a few weeks but keeping them moisturized will reduce the feeling of them being tight/chapped/itchy / cracked. Although your lips may feel healed, lipsticks tend to dry your lips out, so if you must wear something on them, a tinted gloss would be the better option. It’s not uncommon to have a ‘second peel’ with lips so just keep your lips hydrated. Your lips will look lighter than when freshly done. Do not panic – you have healing skin over your lips which is thicker than normal skin. You should see some color blossom, around week four, once your healing skin has settled. You can return to your usual face-washing and makeup routine but you still need to be careful with your lips. Although your skin will look healed, it is still recovering under the surface and you need to be gentle for the full 6 weeks. Your skin will be fragile and may still be a bit tender, so don't exfoliate or use anything harsh that may damage your regenerating skin.

Avoid

-Touching, biting, or scratching your lips as this could cause irritation, infection & loss of pigment.
-Exercise for at least 7 days after your treatment due to sweating. Gentle exercise is okay after the first few days.
-Lip liner, lipstick, lip gloss, cleansers, lotions, etc. on or close to your lips for 2 weeks to avoid irritation & cross-contamination.
-Saunas, steam rooms, or swimming pools for 1 week due to sweating, risk of getting your lips wet & hygiene.
-Facials or other face beauty treatments are done for 4 weeks to avoid irritation & cross-contamination.
-Lip fillers or use tanning beds, chemical peels, or any strong face treatment for 4 weeks as your skin will not be healed enough.
-Anti-aging creams, chemical peels, acids, or retinol on or close to your lips ever! These products will alter your skin and impact pigment retention.

Do
-Follow the aftercare properly to allow your lips to heal as well as they should.
-Keep your lips as clean and dry, but moisturized, as you can for the first two weeks
-Too much lymph fluid, water, sweat & oil will result in scabs instead of a film. Scabs will result in a patchy look.
-Use an icepack (wrapped in something clean) or take ibuprofen if your lips feel swollen and there is bruising present.
-Use a straw while drinking and avoid salty or spicy food if your lips feel tender for the first few days.

Eyelash Enhancement/Eyeliner Aftercare

“May your coffee be hot and your eyeliner be even”

Immediately after the procedure until the end of day two
With your eyeliner complete we want to prevent a build-up of lymph fluid to stop a thick scab from forming. For the first day keep an eye on your eyeliner and ensure it isn’t looking ‘juicy’ with lymphatic production. Use a provided damp cotton round to absorb lymph every hour. Before bed, cleanse your eyes with a damp cotton round, blot dry, and leave them alone.

Day two
Your eyes will be starting to feel tighter now. For the next few days, we are still trying to prevent a scab from forming. Gently wipe your eyeliner with a damp cotton round once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and then once more before bed, and allow it to air dry.

After the film has naturally exfoliated
Your eyes may continue to feel tight or dry. Continue gently cleaning the area with a damp cotton round once in the morning, afternoon, and once more before bed and allowing it to air dry. After a few minutes IF YOU FEEL IT IS NEEDED apply 'half a grain of rice' sized amount of After Inked to your eyeliner so that it’s slightly moisturized, NOT GREASY. The After Inked lotion will help to minimize flaking and itchiness and will help to heal your skin.

After the film has lifted
